Why do we recommend TK as your statutory provider?
In Germany, there are many health insurance providers to choose from. As an independent advisor, we recommend expats relocating to Germany register with Teckniker Krankenkasse (TK). TK is the biggest statutory fund in the country, is highly regarded as a top public health provider and offers customer support in English. A lot of employers favour TK, too.
As with all statutory providers, the monthly premiums are paid via your pay-check and are based on a percentage of your gross income (the more you earn, the more you pay.) And your employer will contribute 50 % of this. Determine how much you'll pay with TK's Contributions Calculator.
